Thunderbird School of Global Management and Valley Leadership Debut Partnership
50 Community Leaders to Receive Training
On Friday, September 14th, media are invited to take part in Valley Leadership Class 34, an innovative new partnership between Thunderbird School of Global Management and Valley Leadership.
Over the next ten months, the 50 community members selected into Leadership Institute Class 34 will receive an in-depth education on the issues facing our community ranging from education to Arizona’s economy. They will also gain access to Valley Leadership’s broad network of personal and professional relationships.
The training, created by Leadership Institute Program Chair Dave Bolman and Senior Vice President of Executive Education at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Dennis Baltzley Ph.D., is designed to help graduates function at the highest level of their chosen career path, be it business, non-profit, or government.
“We are confident our new partnership with Thunderbird, when combined with our existing training, will provide even more opportunities for these leaders to make a positive impact on our community,” said Mike Crusa, Valley Leadership Board Chair.
Interim President of Thunderbird School of Global Management, Ambassador Barbara Barrett, is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class 1 and has been instrumental in fostering this new partnership.
“I am looking forward to exploring leadership concepts and ideas with Valley Leadership Class 34,” said Baltzley. “We firmly believe that it is not truly learning until the behavior changes. So we will practice and apply as well.”
Baltzley is scheduled to teach an interactive and introspective class on values and leadership. The class will be asked to examine their values and align them to work deliverables. He welcomes members of the media to participate. He and Bolman will also be available for interviews upon request.
