Thunderbird Professors Celebrate Launch of Negotiations Books with Signing Celebration Nov. 8
Two Thunderbird School of Global Management professors are inviting the the public and the media to join them Friday, November 8 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. to celebrate the publication of their new books – both on the topic of negotiation.
Karen S. Walch, Ph.D. will debut her new title Power of Understanding: Achieving Buoyancy for Negotiation Impact (Acanthus Publishing, 2013). Professor Keld Jensen will launch The Trust Factor: Negotiating in SMARTnership (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013), his twenty-first book. Their official launch party and reception will be held at the school’s Glendale campus in the historic Thunderbird Tower.
The book launch party for Jensen and Walch is open to the public and the media. Anyone who is interested in negotiation, trust, conflict resolution, and business leadership is encouraged to attend this free event. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the authors and enjoy free refreshments. The authors will give short presentations about their books and allow attendees to be among the first to peruse these ground-breaking new titles positioned to transform the art and science of negotiation. Event attendees are encouraged to ask questions and engage the authors regarding their expertise in international negotiations and cross-cultural communication.
Jensen’s The Trust Factor, published by prestigious academic publisher Palgrave Macmillan, shows negotiators how to expand the inherent value in any negotiation through trust and cooperation. Karen Walch is a renowned global talent and a highly-experienced consultant and educator who has won over a dozen teaching awards. Her acumen in communication and negotiation has earned her a global stage, working in such countries as Saudi Arabia, Israel, China, India, Japan, Spain, and Germany to deliver her noteworthy presentations. She currently serves as a faculty member and consultant at Thunderbird, where she lectures on global negotiations and in the school’s Executive Education programs.
